About

A simple “all‑weather” mix of U.S. stocks, Treasuries, gold, and commodities. Heavy bonds balance stock risk; gold and commodities hedge inflation. Rebalanced once a year to stay on target and seek steadier returns across many economic conditions.
NutHow it works
Put your money in five funds, then reset to these shares once a year: 30% VTI (entire U.S. stock market), 40% VGLT (long‑term U.S. Treasury bonds), 15% VGIT (mid‑term Treasuries), 7.5% GLDM (gold), 7.5% PDBC (broad commodities). Stocks like good growth; long bonds help in recessions; gold/commodities help when inflation rises. The mix aims to balance risks so one part helps when another hurts.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted performance (Sharpe 1.82 vs 1.44), far lower drawdowns (6.0% vs 13.7%), and a low market beta (~0.32), offering steadier growth and better downside protection than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
