About

Active, high‑octane swing strategy focused on Nasdaq/tech. In uptrends it rides 3x bulls and buys dips; when stretched, it hedges with VIX funds; in downtrends it shorts or hides in T‑Bills. Uses simple “heat” (RSI) and trend checks plus bond/cross‑asset confirms.
NutHow it works
It uses simple gauges: trend (price vs 200‑day) and RSI (a 0–100 “heat” scale of recent buying; high=overbought, low=oversold). If SPY trends up, it buys 3x tech/Nasdaq ETFs (TQQQ, TECL, SPXL), especially after dips. If readings look too hot, it briefly hedges with UVXY/VIXY. In downtrends or panics it shorts Nasdaq (SQQQ/PSQ/QID) or parks in T‑Bills (BIL). Bond/cross‑asset checks (AGG vs SH, CORP vs BIL, KMLM managed‑futures) confirm. It equal‑weights up to 5 signals.
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperforms the S&P: ~26% annualized (oos) vs 16% SPY; Calmar ~0.77. Uses leveraged Nasdaq bets with VIX hedges and cross-asset checks to capture tech rallies while managing downside—though drawdowns can be larger in stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
