About

A tactical, rules‑based tech/Nasdaq strategy. It buys leveraged funds on dips when the trend is healthy, moves to cash or inverse funds when weak or overheated, uses VIX funds for short hedges, and consults KMLM (managed futures) to gauge the macro backdrop.
NutHow it works
It runs many small rule-sets and splits money across the 5 with the best recent risk. First it checks trend (S&P 500 above/below its 200‑day average). In uptrends it rides/buys dips in Nasdaq‑focused funds (QQQ/TQQQ, TECL). If overheated, it briefly hedges with VIX funds (UVXY/VIXY). In downtrends it shifts to shorts (PSQ/SQQQ) or cash‑like bonds (BIL/SHY/BSV). A managed‑futures fund (KMLM) acts as a “weather vane” to tighten or loosen risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: Nasdaq-focused strategy targets ~33% annual return vs ~16% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.0 and solid risk controls. Dip-buying, hedges, and macro signals seek outsized upside while keeping risk in check; drawdowns may exceed the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
