About

A daily, rules-based “risk-on/risk-off” system: buy Nasdaq/S&P dips with leveraged ETFs, hedge when markets run hot, and shift to inverse funds or cash/bonds in downtrends. Signals use RSI, moving averages, and a managed‑futures gauge (KMLM).
NutHow it works
Daily it checks two things: trend and “heat” (RSI). - Trend: If the S&P 500 sits above its 200‑day average, we lean aggressive; otherwise, defensive. - Heat (RSI 0–100): high=hot, low=washed‑out. Risk‑on: 3x Nasdaq/S&P (TQQQ, TECL, SPXL/UPRO). Too hot: short‑term hedge with volatility funds (UVXY/VIXY). Weak/panic: inverse funds (SQQQ/PSQ) or T‑Bills/Bonds (BIL, IEF/TLT). KMLM (managed futures) adds an extra brake.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: -9.68% annualized return and Calmar -2.63. This is a tactical diversification sleeve, not a stand-alone S&P replacement. Daily risk-on/risk-off rules with hedges, inverse/volatility exposure, and KMLM brakes aim to curb drawdowns and adapt to regime shifts.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
