About

A daily, rules‑based portfolio that shifts between growth (Nasdaq/tech), safety (T‑bills/Treasuries), and hedges (shorts/volatility) using simple trend and “hot/cold” signals, plus inflation cues from commodities. Designed to capture uptrends and cut downside.
NutHow it works
Each day the rules ask: Are stocks trending up (S&P 500 above its 200‑day line)? Are interest rates rising or falling (Treasury trend)? Are commodities running hot? Based on that it owns either growth (QQQ/tech; sometimes 3x like TQQQ/SOXL), safety (T‑Bills BIL or Treasuries SHY/IEI/TLT), or hedges (short funds SQQQ/SPXS, volatility UVXY). It times entries with trend lines and RSI (a 0‑100 “hot/cold” meter). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows superior risk-adjusted results vs the S&P: Sharpe 2.28 vs 1.08, Calmar 2.66, and max drawdown 4.3% vs 18.8%, with beta ≈0.22 and diversified growth/safety/hedges for steadier, downside-controlled growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
