About

Own QQQ most days; only when QQQ’s short‑term momentum gets extremely hot (RSI ≥ 80), switch 100% into PSQ, which rises when QQQ falls. Daily check, highly concentrated tech exposure, aims to fade overheated spikes.
NutHow it works
Each day, it checks a short‑term “speedometer” (10‑day RSI) on QQQ, an ETF of big Nasdaq tech stocks. If the score is below 80, it owns QQQ. If the score hits 80 or higher (very hot), it flips to PSQ, an ETF that moves opposite QQQ, to bet on a pullback. 100% in one or the other.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this QQQ-PSQ timing strategy delivers ~25.8% annualized return vs ~17.9% for the S&P, with Sharpe ~1.50 and Calmar ~3.28. Higher upside with disciplined, transparent rules that hedge overheated rallies and focus tech leadership.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
