A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, rule‑based swing system. It buys 3x S&P/Nasdaq/semis after “washouts,” and shifts to hedges—UVXY, gold, Treasuries, dollar, commodities/managed futures—when risk is high. Very aggressive; expect large swings.
NutHow it works
Daily, a set of rule‑based “bots” reads RSI, a simple heat gauge of price moves (high=too hot, low=washed‑out). If too hot, it flips to UVXY or cash. If washed‑out, it buys 3x equity funds (SPXL, TQQQ, SOXL) for a rebound. Otherwise it rotates to the best diversifier: commodities (PDBC if stronger than the US dollar), gold (GLD), Treasuries (TMF/TLT or TMV), defensive picks (SH, USDU, XLU), or managed futures (DBMF).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~34.4% annualized vs ~20.8% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.31, Calmar ~1.51. Daily, rule-based rotations with hedges (UVXY, gold, Treasuries) aim for higher growth with disciplined risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
