About

A fast, tactical strategy that flips daily between leveraged growth (mostly tech) and defensive hedges. It uses a simple hot/cold score, trend and fear gauges to buy dips, fade overheated markets, or retreat to bonds, gold, dollar, commodities, or cash.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: Are stocks hot or cold (a 0–100 “hot/cold” score), is fear high, and are stocks beating commodities? If hot, it briefly bets on a volatility spike (UVXY). If cold, it buys the dip with 3x stock funds. Otherwise it picks a “go‑for‑it” basket (tech/semis/healthcare) or a defensive mix (inverse stocks, Treasuries, gold, dollar, commodities or cash). It sizes positions so shakier funds get smaller weights.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~41% vs S&P 500 ~21%, Sharpe ~1.38 vs ~1.32, Calmar ~1.84. Daily tactical shifts between growth bets and hedges aim for higher long-run alpha, with ~22% max drawdown but stronger upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
