About

A tactical, volatility‑aware strategy that rotates between tech‑heavy stocks and safety (T‑bills, neutral or short hedges), adding commodities when they trend. It uses trend and “overbought/oversold” signals to seek stock‑like growth while cutting big drawdowns.
NutHow it works
It watches trend and “hot/cold” readings (RSI = how stretched prices are) for stocks, bonds, and volatility (VIX). When trends are healthy it owns growth funds like QQQ/tech (sometimes 2–3x versions). If risk rises, it shifts to T‑bills (BIL/SHV), market‑neutral BTAL, or hedges (PSQ/SH). It adds gold, oil/nat gas, or broad commodities when they trend up.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~16% annualized returns with ~3.4% max drawdown, Calmar ~4.7, and Sharpe ~2.0. It blends tech growth, hedges, and trend-following across assets for steadier, risk-adjusted gains vs. the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
