About

Daily, rules‑driven rotation that rides stock uptrends (esp. tech) and quickly pivots to T‑bills, hedges, or volatility trades when markets overheat or get shaky. Mixes trend and mean‑reversion signals; uses leveraged/inverse ETFs; active and high risk.
NutHow it works
It’s a rule-based, daily switch. It watches trend (is price above its average?) and “heat” via RSI (a 0–100 score of recent up vs down days; high=overheated, low=washed‑out). When stocks (esp. tech) trend and volatility is calm, it owns growth ETFs. If markets overheat or fear jumps, it pivots to T‑bills (BIL/SHV), hedges (BTAL/EUM), or volatility funds (VIXY/UVXY). Bonds/commodities act as ballast.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe 1.64 vs SPY 0.88; Calmar 2.65; max drawdown 3.63% vs 18.76%; annualized return 9.63% vs 15.58%. Better risk-adjusted growth with regime hedges—steadier downside protection than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
