About

Adaptive, K‑1‑free “All Weather” that tilts among leveraged stocks, Treasuries (long or inverse), U.S. dollar, and commodities, with a VIX-based crash switch to short‑term Treasuries. Goal: profit in most environments and beat the S&P 500 long term.
NutHow it works
First, a panic switch: if fear (VIX futures) overheats, move 100% to short‑term Treasuries (SHY). Otherwise hold ~30% stocks, 55% bonds, 15% commodities. Stocks: use 2–3x stock funds when bonds look healthy; shift to defensive sectors, short stock funds, and long U.S. dollar when rates rise; use 2x S&P/Nasdaq when rates fall. Bonds: regular Treasuries if calm, inverse Treasuries + USD if rates rise, 3x Treasuries if rates fall. Commodities: broad basket + recent leaders.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this adaptive All Weather strategy delivers higher annualized return (23.5% vs 21.7%), similar drawdown (~18%), and stronger Calmar (~1.30) than the S&P 500, with a volatility-based crash switch and diversified sleeves for resilience.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
