About

Aggressive, rules‑based swing strategy. Buys 3x tech/semiconductor funds when conditions improve; hedges with volatility or 3x inverse funds when markets overheat or fear rises. Also rotates among bonds, gold, commodities, and the dollar by momentum.
NutHow it works
It’s a rules-based swing strategy. It uses a “speedometer” called RSI (high = too hot, low = too cold) and a fear gauge (VIX). If markets are hot or fear spikes, it hedges with UVXY or 3x inverse funds (SQQQ, SOXS, TECS). If cold or trending up, it buys 3x bulls (TQQQ, SOXL, TECL). A second engine picks recent 6‑month winners among stocks, long/short Treasuries (TMF/TMV), gold (UGL), commodities (PDBC), and the U.S. dollar (UUP/USDU). It runs fast/slow (5–20 day) checks across S&P 500, Nasdaq‑100, and Semis. Very aggressive.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~45.9% annualized return vs SPY 21.5%, Calmar ~1.50, Sharpe ~1.11. Max drawdown ~30.6% vs ~18.8%. Leveraged tech bets with hedges and macro rotation target stronger upside while managing risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
