About
A market-timing strategy that hides in Treasury bills when the market looks weak, otherwise rotates among QQQ, leveraged tech (TQQQ), or a bet against small caps (RWM).
Each day, the strategy first checks if the broad U.S. stock market looks healthy by seeing whether the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200-day average.
If not, it moves to BIL, a very low-risk Treasury-bill fund.
If yes, it checks whether the market has had strong momentum recently. If momentum is only moderate, it buys QQQ (big tech-heavy stocks). If momentum is strong, it makes a short-term switch between TQQQ (a much more aggressive version of QQQ) and RWM (a fund that rises when smaller U.S. stocks fall).
Out-of-sample: 13.74% annualized return, 0.50 Calmar, 847 days tested. A transparent, rules-based rotation that captures tech upside and preserves capital in downturns—providing diversification beyond the S&P 500.
