About
Rule-based, two-mode plan: ride uptrends with a 3x Nasdaq fund (TQQQ), but if things get extremely hot, flip that sleeve to a volatility spike fund (UVXY). In downtrends, favor bonds/defensive stocks or short Nasdaq (SQQQ), with occasional oversold rebound bets (TECL/SPXL).
1) Check trend: Is the S&P 500 (SPY) above its 200‑day average?
- If yes: put ~60% in TQQQ (3x Nasdaq). If QQQ or SPY looks extremely hot (RSI>80), switch that sleeve to UVXY, which jumps when volatility spikes.
- If no: split ~40/60. Try quick rebounds (TECL or SPXL) when very oversold; otherwise rotate among short Nasdaq (SQQQ), long Treasuries (TLT), broad bonds (BND) and Staples (XLP). RSI is a 0–100 “heat” meter; <30=oversold, >80=hot.
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher upside (87% annualized) with solid risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~1.76; Sharpe ~1.39) vs SPY. It blends leveraged tech exposure, hedges, and bonds in a regime framework to pursue gains while managing risk.
