A tactical portfolio that mixes the S&P 500 with commodities, but moves into bonds, cash-like Treasuries, or defensive funds when market trends weaken.

This strategy splits money into two parts: about 60% follows the U.S. stock market through SPY, and 40% follows commodities through DBC. For stocks, it first asks: is the S&P 500 in a long-term uptrend? If yes, it usually owns SPY, but may shift part of that money into long-term Treasury bonds (TLT) or, after an extreme stock surge, into a volatility fund (VIXY). If stocks are in a weaker trend, it uses extra checks to decide between SPY, bonds (BND), a fund that rises when the S&P 500 falls (SH), or an aggressive tech rebound fund (TECL). For commodities, it only owns DBC when commodity prices are trending up. If not, it parks that portion in very short-term Treasuries (SHV), which acts like a cash substitute.
