A simple market-mood strategy: go all-in on leveraged Nasdaq when bond and credit signals look healthy; otherwise hide in the strongest of Treasuries, gold, or the U.S. dollar.
NutHow it works
This strategy is either fully aggressive or fully defensive. It first asks: are bonds doing better than cash over the last 60 days? If yes, it checks high-yield corporate bonds (a ‘risk appetite’ gauge). If those look healthy enough, it buys TQQQ, a fund that aims for 3x the daily move of the Nasdaq-100. If those signals look weak, it moves to defense and buys whichever has done best recently: Treasury bonds (IEF), gold (GLD), or the U.S. dollar (UUP).

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
