About
A rules‑based, semiconductor‑focused plan that buys dips and fades spikes using RSI. It tilts between SMH and 3x bull/bear ETFs (SOXL/SOXS), and when no extreme, follows trend: own SMH in uptrends or rotate to SOXS or SHY in downtrends.
It trades semiconductors. SMH = big chip stocks. SOXL = 3x bullish chips. SOXS = 3x bearish chips. SHY = short‑term Treasuries. It watches RSI (0–100): under 36 means “recently fell a lot” (buy the dip), over 70 means “recently surged” (fade it). Position size in SOXL/SOXS scales with how many lookback days agree. If no extreme: if SMH is above its 200‑day average, hold SMH; if below and also weak short‑term, pick the stronger of SOXS or SHY.
Out-of-sample upside: ~45% annualized return vs ~21% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.02—strong risk-adjusted potential from a semis tilt using RSI/tactical rules. Expect higher drawdowns (~44% vs ~19%), but potential for bigger long-term gains.
