About

A rules-based plan that sizes up long-, medium-, and short-term trends, then rotates: 3x stock ETFs in uptrends; bonds/defensives or even short Nasdaq in downtrends. Buys 3x tech on sharp dips and tempers risk when stocks look overheated.
NutHow it works
It reads the market like this: 1) Long-term trend: Is SPY’s 200‑day average above its 1000‑day? If yes, think long-term uptrend; if not, downtrend. 2) Medium trend: 50‑day vs 200‑day (“golden” above, “death” below). 3) Heat check: RSI (0–100 gauge; <30=washed‑out, >60=hot) and price vs 200‑day. Then it switches among: UPRO=3x S&P; TECL=3x tech (on dips); SPY; TMF/TLT=long Treasuries; BND/BSV=bonds; XLP=defensive; SQQQ=3x short QQQ. Uses leverage (high risk).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~43% annualized return vs SPY ~22%, Calmar ~1.18. Dynamic trend-rotation seeks bigger upside across regimes while moderating risk - though bear-market drawdowns can exceed the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
