A very active, high-risk strategy that uses leveraged stock funds in good times and rotates into bonds, gold, the dollar, volatility, or bearish funds when markets look stressed.

This strategy tries to beat the S&P 500 by mostly trading extra-aggressive funds tied to tech, semiconductors, and the broad U.S. stock market. It first checks whether markets look calm or dangerous, mainly by watching the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and long-term U.S. Treasury bonds. If conditions look good, it buys one aggressive fund—often the recent winner or the recent dip-buy candidate from a small basket like TQQQ, SOXL, TECL, or UPRO. If conditions look bad, it can shift into defense: Treasury-bond funds, gold, the U.S. dollar, volatility funds, or funds that rise when stocks fall. A big part of the strategy is short-term “buy the dip” trading, especially using 5-day trend signals.
