About

A daily, rules-based switcher among 2x stock ETFs, Treasuries, and a volatility fund. It reads trend (50/200-day), “hot/cold” signals, and a sideways filter to flip between long, short, or hedge—aiming to ride uptrends and protect in weak markets.
NutHow it works
Daily rules. Trend test: is SPY’s 50-day average above its 200-day? (short vs long trend line). Hot/cold gauge (RSI, 0–100): above ~80 = overheated, below ~30 = washed-out. Default is 2x Nasdaq (QLD). In uptrends: switch to UVXY (volatility “fear” fund) when overheated, or to IEF (Treasuries) when choppy. In downtrends: buy 2x longs (ROM/SSO) only on deep dips; else pick Short Nasdaq (QID) or IEF; if tech steadies, try QLD. SPY=large US stocks; QQQ=big tech.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: about 25.6% annualized return vs 17.5% for the S&P, thanks to trend/volatility tilts. Higher upside but larger drawdowns (41.8% vs 18.8%) and lower risk-adjusted Sharpe—suited for growth-focused investors who tolerate risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
