About

A rules-based, trend-aware strategy that uses 2x stock ETFs in strong uptrends, cools off when overheated, and shifts to bonds/defensives—or even shorts tech—in downtrends. Driven by long-, medium-, and short-term signals using SPY and QQQ.
NutHow it works
It first asks: is the market’s long‑term tide rising or falling (SPY’s 200‑day vs 1000‑day average)? If rising and the mid‑term trend is up, it rides stocks with 2x S&P (SSO); if things look too hot it cools to ~55% SPY/45% TLT. If trends weaken, it shifts to bonds. If the long‑term tide is falling, it mostly plays defense (BND/BSV, XLP) and, in sharp selloffs, may buy 2x tech (ROM) or even short tech (QID). No fixed rebalance—trades when signals change.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-aware, trend-following strategy using leverage, bonds, and defensives. Out-of-sample annualized return ~35.8% vs ~22.2% for the S&P, with solid risk-adjusted performance (Calmar ~1.46); higher drawdowns may occur in downturns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
