About

Daily tactical system for tech/semis. Buys dips and fades spikes, flipping between 3x bull ETFs (TECL, SOXL, HIBL), their bear twins (TECS, SOXS, HIBS), or cash (BIL). Trades only when volatility is calm (SVIX) and a macro filter (KMLM vs XLK) agrees; may add Treasuries or UVXY. Very aggressive.
NutHow it works
1) Gate: only trade when volatility is calm (SVIX rising) and a trend filter favors KMLM (a managed‑futures fund) over big‑tech (XLK). Otherwise hold T‑bills (BIL). 2) Signals: if NASDAQ looks washed out (low ‘hot/cold’ meter, RSI) or after multi‑day drops, buy 3x tech/semis (TECL, SOXL, HIBL). If overheated or after big spikes, use the bear twins (TECS, SOXS, HIBS) or UVXY. 3) Bond checks add/short Treasuries (TMF, EDV, TBF). Daily rebalance.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this tech/semis strategy delivers ~32.5% annualized returns vs 16.7% for the S&P, with lower drawdown (16.2% vs 18.8%), negative market beta, and Calmar ~2.0—meaning higher upside with tighter risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
