About

A momentum-based, 3x or 1x levered equity strategy using 30-day RSI signals on SPY/QQQ; buys levered exposure when momentum is favorable, otherwise parks in cash (BIL); includes volatility checks and no automatic tight rebalancing.
NutHow it works
RSI is a momentum gauge that runs on a 30-day window. If the levered ETF (UPRO for SPY, TQQQ for QQQ) shows stronger momentum than its base index (SPY or QQQ) across several checks, the strategy buys the levered ETF (3x or 1x mode). If not, it moves to cash (BIL). The checks also look at a basket of bond-related ETFs to gauge overall risk conditions; if those indicate risk, cash or safer exposure is favored. There is also a volatility-filter variant that adds an extra gate to entries. The system allocates 100% to the chosen asset and uses a none-rebalance rule within a narrow corridor.
CheckmarkValue prop
Momentum-based levered strategy with a cash guard: ~18.7% out-of-sample annualized return, using 30-day RSI to switch SPY/QQQ leverage and park in cash when risk rises; targets upside in trends with downside protection vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
