A daily switching strategy that moves between tech, defensive consumer stocks, or a defensive basket of gold, volatility, bond trades, and cash depending on market trend, stress, and whether tech looks deeply sold off.

Each day, the strategy asks: do bonds look healthier than a bearish stock-market fund? If yes, it prefers stocks. In stock mode, it usually buys tech (XLK) when the market trend is strong, but switches to consumer staples (XLP) when conditions look weaker. If conditions look bad, it may still buy tech after a sharp selloff. Otherwise it spreads money across the calmer members of a defensive basket: bond bets, volatility funds, gold, and cash-like T-bills.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
