About
A cautious, daily-traded strategy that mostly waits in short-term Treasuries and only jumps into a high-risk semiconductor fund when chip stocks look unusually beaten down or panic looks extreme.
This strategy checks the market every day and usually chooses between two places:
• **SOXL**: a very aggressive fund that amplifies moves in semiconductor stocks (chip companies)
• **SHV**: a very safe short-term Treasury fund, used like a cash parking spot
It first compares **bonds (BND)** with **aggressive stocks (SPHB)** to judge whether the market looks cautious or risk-friendly. Then it looks at recent price heat using **RSI**, which is like a 0–100 “temperature gauge” of how strong or stretched a price move has been.
In plain English: it only buys the aggressive chip fund when prices look beaten down enough—or when panic is so extreme that it expects a rebound. Otherwise, it stays in the safer Treasury fund.
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~1.15, Calmar ~1.14, and ~85% annualized return vs ~10% for the S&P. Strategy stays mostly in cash/Treasuries, with selective leveraged semiconductor bets on favorable dips for stronger upside.
