About

Daily gold strategy using a simple “heat gauge.” Extremely hot → short gold (−2x). Extremely cold → long gold (+2x). Otherwise hold gold—unless a sharp 3‑day drop flips to safe mode, then hold T‑Bills instead.
NutHow it works
It trades gold ETFs daily. First, if gold just dropped 4%+ over 3 days, it goes into “safe mode.” Then it uses a 0–100 heat gauge of recent moves (RSI): >~80 = very hot; <~30 = very cold. Very hot → bet on a pullback with GLL (−2x gold). Very cold → bet on a rebound with UGL (+2x). Otherwise stay neutral (normal: GLDM, a gold ETF; safe mode: BIL, a T‑Bill ETF). It also checks the 50‑day average, but choices don’t change.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample resilience: a live-tested heat-gauge on gold that goes +2x on reversals, −2x on pullbacks, with safety in drawdowns via T-bills. Offers diversification and potential risk-adjusted upside vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
