About
A daily, rules-based trend follower: go on offense into the hottest tech-driven themes when markets trend up, add a tactical emerging‑markets sleeve, and flip to short the Nasdaq in downtrends. Uses simple trend/strength signals and momentum ranking.
1) First, it checks the market’s trend (is the S&P 500 above its long-term average?). If yes → Offense; if not → Defense.
2) Offense: If tech is sprinting, it concentrates in the fastest-rising themes (AI/semis/cyber/biotech/space/fintech/nuclear/quantum). If not as hot, it spreads a bit wider and runs a tactical Emerging‑Markets sleeve that can go 3x long or 3x short.
3) Defense: it mostly shorts the Nasdaq (often with a 3x fund), only flipping long briefly if bond strength hints at a bounce.
4) Within each theme it buys the top recent winners and gives more weight to steadier names. Rebalances daily.
Notes: a “moving average” is just the average price over time; “RSI” is a 0–100 speedometer of buying vs. selling pressure used to judge when things are strong, weak, or stretched.
Out-of-sample tests show this trend-following strategy beating the S&P 500 in tech-led uptrends and protecting gains in downturns, thanks to tactical EM exposure and Nasdaq hedges that improve risk-adjusted returns.
