A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A fast, rules-based switcher built for the 2020s: it rides strong tech/semiconductor uptrends with leveraged ETFs, then quickly rotates to hedges, shorts, Treasuries, dollar, gold, or staples when markets look overheated or weak. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
- Each day it ranks its sub-strategies by the last 30 days and blends the top 2 (more weight to the steadier one). - Inside each, if trends are up and not “too hot,” it buys fast movers (often 3x tech/semis/SP500). - If things look overheated or roll over, it flips to shorts, volatility (UVXY), or safe assets (Treasuries, USD, gold, staples). - Bond trends guide risk-on/off calls.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows stronger risk-adjusted returns than the S&P: Sharpe ~1.31 vs ~1.20, Calmar ~2.66, with upside from tech leadership and agile hedging. Drawdowns can be larger in downturns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
