About

A 3× leveraged, trend‑following and dip‑buying strategy. In long‑term uptrends it owns TECL and UPRO. If the market weakens, it buys oversold dips; if no dip, it either hides in SHY or shorts tech with SQQQ. Extremely volatile and high risk.
NutHow it works
Core rule: if SPY (S&P 500) is above its 200‑day average price (a long‑term uptrend gauge), buy 50/50 TECL (3× Technology) and UPRO (3× S&P). Otherwise try to buy dips: if QQQ’s 10‑day RSI (0–100 “hot/cold”; <30 = oversold) <30 buy TECL; else if SPY’s 14‑day RSI <30 buy UPRO. If no dip: if QQQ is below its 20‑day average, pick the stronger of SHY (short‑term Treasuries) or SQQQ (−3× Tech). If QQQ is above, flip between SQQQ or TECL based on PSQ’s RSI. Very high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this 3x leveraged trend/dip strategy posts ~68% annualized returns vs ~23% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.38 and Sharpe ~1.18. It captures strong uptrends but incurs higher drawdowns in choppy markets due to leverage.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
