If the market looks healthy, it leans hard into aggressive areas like technology, semiconductor stocks, and ARK-style innovation funds—often using turbocharged versions that move 2x or 3x as much. If the market looks weak, it rotates into defensive holdings or bets that profit when stocks fall, including short S&P 500/Nasdaq funds, volatility funds, Treasury trades, gold, the U.S. dollar, and other hedges. Inside those two big modes, it keeps checking whether markets look overheated or beaten down. When prices have risen too fast, it may “sell the rip” by buying fear/volatility or short funds. After sharp drops, it may try to “buy the dip” and catch a rebound.

Out-of-sample, this bold trend-following strategy delivers ~53% annualized returns with Calmar ~3.6 and Sharpe ~1, beating SPY's negative performance and delivering meaningful alpha. Risk includes higher drawdowns, but upside is strongest when tech/leveraged bets lead.
