A high-risk market-timing strategy that mostly swings between aggressive tech bets, a Nasdaq short position, and a volatility hedge based on long- and short-term trend signals.

This strategy is a fast-moving rule set that usually bets on tech stocks. First it asks if the overall U.S. stock market is in a healthy long-term trend by checking whether SPY is above its 200-day average price. If yes, it normally buys TQQQ, a fund that aims to deliver about 3 times the daily move of the Nasdaq-100. If TQQQ has risen unusually fast over the last 10 days, it switches to UVXY, a volatility fund that tends to jump when markets get shaky. If the broad market is not healthy, it gets more cautious. If tech has fallen very hard recently, it buys TECL to try to catch a rebound. Otherwise it looks at shorter-term Nasdaq trend signals and either owns QQQ, or PSQ, which rises when the Nasdaq-100 falls.

Out-of-sample, this regime-switching strategy targets far higher upside in tech rallies (67.8% annualized vs 22% SPY) with solid risk-adjusted returns (Calmar ~1.27), but with higher drawdowns—delivering aggressive growth and diversification beyond the S&P 500.
