A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, rules-based portfolio that replaces simple S&P 500 exposure with a smarter core plus hedges. It uses trend and “overbought/oversold” signals to rotate among stocks, bonds, gold, commodities, cash, and hedges to cut drawdowns and smooth returns.
NutHow it works
1) First, it checks if the S&P 500 is in an uptrend (price above its 200‑day average). 2) If healthy: it rotates among stocks, gold, bonds, and cash based on short‑term “heat” (RSI) and trend. Overheated → take cash/hedges; oversold → buy bounces (often with bond ballast). 3) If weak: favor bonds, cash, and inverse/volatility hedges. 4) Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Risk-controlled, rules-based core reduces losses: OOS drawdown 11.5% vs 18.8% for SPY, Calmar ~0.71, plus hedges and diversification to smooth returns—aiming for steadier growth than a plain S&P 500 holding.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
