About
A daily market-timing strategy that rotates between a leveraged bet on big Nasdaq stocks, a bet against them, and a cash-like Treasury fund based on market trend and short-term overheating signals.
This strategy checks the stock market every day.
If the broad U.S. market (SPY, the S&P 500) is in a healthy long-term uptrend, it usually buys QLD, a fund that makes a doubled bet on big Nasdaq stocks like Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia. But if several market gauges look too overheated, it moves to SHV, a very low-risk short-term Treasury fund.
If the market is in a weak long-term trend, it mostly bets against the Nasdaq using PSQ. However, if tech stocks look extremely beaten down, or the bearish trade already looks overextended, it switches back to QLD for a rebound.
Out-of-sample, this tactical Nasdaq tilt offers ~54% annualized return, Sharpe ~1.31, and Calmar ~1.60 versus the S&P 500—driving stronger risk-adjusted upside by alternating leveraged Nasdaq bets and cash.
