About

Rules-based, tactical mix that dials risk with market heat and trend. It rotates among cash-like T-bills, Treasuries, gold, tech bounces, a leaders basket, and inverse ETFs. A small sleeve flips emerging markets long/short and follows Treasury momentum.
NutHow it works
RSI is a market "heat" gauge: very high = too hot; very low = washed-out. Moving averages check trend. When stocks are too hot, it goes defensive: cash-like T-bills (SHV) and light shorts (PSQ, SH). If just warm, it holds gold (GLD). After sharp drops, it buys tech for a bounce (QQQ/XLK or QLD). In uptrends it owns leading stocks. In downtrends it shifts to Treasuries, cash, or shorts (QID). A small sleeve trades emerging markets (EEM/EUM) and rides TLT trends.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~1.62 vs SPY ~1.03; annualized return ~24.9% vs 17.9%; drawdown ~10.4% vs 18.8%; Calmar ~2.40; beta ~0.56. A tactical, diversified strategy aiming for higher risk-adjusted gains with smaller drawdowns than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
