About

Simple trend-and-heat model. In uptrends, hold QQQ unless the market looks overheated (then hedge with UVXY or briefly park in IEF). In downtrends, buy only deep dips; otherwise rotate to PSQ (short QQQ) or IEF. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
1) Trend: If QQQ’s 50-day avg price is above its 200-day avg (“Golden Cross”), it’s an uptrend; else a downtrend. 2) Heat: RSI is a 0–100 “heat meter” (>80 very hot, <30 very cold). Uptrend: usually hold QQQ; if QQQ/SPY are very hot use UVXY (volatility hedge); if just warm (SPY 60-day RSI>60) use IEF; else QQQ. Downtrend: buy big dips (QQQ/SPY RSI<30); else if QQQ 5<20-day avg, pick the stronger of PSQ (short QQQ) or IEF; else QQQ. QQQ=Nasdaq 100; SPY=S&P 500; IEF=bonds; UVXY=vol spike; PSQ=inverse QQQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic, rule-based strategy that hedges volatility and rotates into bonds in heat. Out-of-sample Sharpe ≈0.62 with strong risk controls—aims for a more resilient, risk-adjusted path than SPY while preserving upside potential.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
