About

Own Bitcoin via BITO when its short‑term average price is above its long‑term average. Otherwise hold an equal mix of US Treasury bond funds (IEF, TLT) and gold/silver (GLD, SLV). Checked and rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks BITO, a Bitcoin‑futures ETF. If BITO’s recent 1‑week average price is above its ~5‑month average, it goes “risk on” and puts 100% in BITO. If not, it goes “risk off” and splits money evenly across IEF (US 7–10yr Treasuries), TLT (US 20+yr Treasuries), GLD (gold), and SLV (silver).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~38% vs 18% S&P; Calmar ~1.34 and beta ~0.52 signal strong risk-adjusted upside with lower market sensitivity. Rules-based BTC exposure on momentum, plus a diversified risk-off sleeve for downturns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
