A tactical semiconductor strategy: buy big dips, fade big pops, and otherwise scale between SMH and 3x bull/bear ETFs using overbought/oversold signals. Falls back to a simple trend filter and adds a small volatility/dollar hedge in severe selloffs.

1) Look at today’s % move in SMH (semi ETF). Big drop? Buy SOXL (3x bull), sometimes with a 30% hedge (VIX/dollar/short‑Treasuries). Big surge? Buy SOXS (3x bear), sometimes with 30% SHY. 2) If not extreme, scale between SMH and SOXL/SOXS using RSI (oversold/overbought). 3) If neither, use trend: above 200‑day = SMH; below both 200‑ and 20‑day = pick SOXS or SHY.
