About
A high-risk market-timing strategy: it buys aggressive tech funds after sharp pullbacks, a volatility fund after extreme run-ups, and otherwise waits in short-term Treasury bills.
The strategy watches QQQ, a fund that represents big U.S. growth/tech stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon, Meta, and Google. It uses a 14-day “temperature gauge” called RSI: high = prices have run up fast, low = they’ve fallen fast.
If QQQ looks extremely overheated (RSI above 80), it buys UVXY, a fund that tends to jump when market fear spikes.
If QQQ looks beaten down (RSI below 35), it splits money between TQQQ and TECL, two very aggressive funds that magnify gains and losses in tech-heavy stocks.
Otherwise, it sits in BIL, a very short-term Treasury-bill fund, like a cash parking spot.
Out-of-sample annualized return of 31.7% vs SPY’s 17.2%, Calmar 1.37, signaling strong risk-adjusted upside. Dynamic, leverage-focused tech bets target big rallies—but come with higher drawdowns than the S&P.
