About

A rules-driven mix that rides Nasdaq strength, steps aside after spikes, and hedges in bears, while holding staples, Treasuries, gold, and the U.S. dollar for ballast. Backtested 2008–2023: ~13%/yr with ~9% worst drop (before costs).
NutHow it works
It splits your money into slices: a tactical tech sleeve (~30%), gold (~10%), U.S. dollar (~10%), plus steady ballast in consumer staples and 3–7yr Treasuries. Rules buy QQQ/semis in uptrends, step to bonds/cash after sharp spikes, and hedge/short in downtrends. Gold and the dollar are owned only when their trends are up.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows superior risk-adjusted performance: Sharpe 2.20 vs SPY ~1.32, max drawdown 6.4% vs ~18.8%, beta ~0.31, Calmar 2.63. You get better downside protection and steadier gains versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
