About
A market-timing strategy that usually owns global stocks, but switches to gold, a volatility fund, or a leveraged tech fund when market conditions look unusually risky or unusually washed out.
This strategy checks the market every day and puts all its money in just one holding at a time.
Most of the time, it owns VT, a fund that holds stocks from around the world.
If big tech stocks look extremely weak, it buys TQQQ, a very aggressive fund that rises 3x as fast as the Nasdaq-100.
If big tech looks extremely overheated, it buys VXX, which tends to rise when market fear jumps.
If the broad U.S. market is in a longer slump and tech is also weak, it hides in GLD, a gold fund.
Dynamic, daily-rebalanced strategy mostly owning global stocks, with hedges in gold, VXX, and leveraged tech (TQQQ). OOS: 24.28% annualized vs 22.09% S&P; Calmar ~1.79; strong risk-adjusted returns.
