About

Daily shifts to VT (world stocks), GLD (gold), QLD (2× Nasdaq‑100), or VIXY (volatility) based on two ideas: big‑tech is too hot/too cold short‑term, and whether the broad market is above or below its long‑term trend.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks big‑tech (QQQ). If a 10‑day “hotness” score (RSI: compares recent up vs down days, 0–100) is >79, buy VIXY (volatility). If that score <30, buy QLD (2× Nasdaq‑100) for a rebound. Otherwise use trend: if the S&P 500 (SPY) is under its 200‑day average and QQQ is under its 20‑day average (average = recent mean price), buy GLD (gold). In all other cases, hold VT (total world stocks).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns with smaller drawdowns vs the S&P 500. Annualized return ~34.5% vs 33.1%; Sharpe ~2.83 vs ~2.72; Calmar ~6.91; max drawdown ~4.99% vs ~5.07%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
