About
A daily, rules-based thermostat: reads QQQ’s short-term “heat” to switch between cash-like T‑Bills, an aggressive 2x Nasdaq rebound bet, or a steady defensive mix of staples, utilities, health care, and long Treasuries.
Each day it reads a simple 0–100 “heat” score of recent QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) moves. If very hot (>79), park 100% in BIL (short‑term T‑Bills). If very cold (<30), buy QLD (2x QQQ) to try for a rebound. Otherwise, split equally across XLP (consumer staples), XLU (utilities), XLV (health care), and TLT (long U.S. Treasuries).
Out-of-sample, it delivers superior risk-adjusted results vs the S&P: Sharpe 1.83 vs 1.68, max drawdown 3.6% vs 5.1%, Calmar ~4.05. Returns ~14.6% (vs 19.65% for S&P) but with tighter risk and capital-protection during downturns.
