About

Daily trend-and-hedge portfolio across stocks, bonds, dollar, gold and commodities. It goes aggressive in calm uptrends (often with leverage) and quickly moves to safety or hedges when volatility or rates jump.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily, rules-based “weather vane.” When markets are calm and rising, it leans into growth funds (often leveraged like TQQQ = 3x Nasdaq, UPRO = 3x S&P). When stress appears, it shifts to safety: SHY/SHV/BIL = T‑bills, GLD = gold, UUP/USDU = U.S. dollar, BTAL = defensive, VIX funds (VIXY/UVXY), or inverse funds (SQQQ, TBF/TMV). Signals used: price vs average (trend) and RSI (how hot/cold recent moves are). It also rotates bonds and adds DBC/PDBC when commodities trend.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy cuts drawdown (~12% vs ~19%), with Calmar ~1.15 and lower volatility, delivering steadier, risk-adjusted exposure. SPY may post higher raw return, but this earns durability and downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
