About

Blends a permanent global stock core with a rules-based tactical sleeve that shifts among stocks, bonds, the U.S. dollar, commodities, and real estate using trend/volatility signals. Uses leveraged and inverse funds tactically to pursue growth with downside defense.
NutHow it works
Three parts: 1) 40% “core” stocks: a low-cost global mix tilted to smaller, cheaper companies, plus some long Treasuries. 2) 45% “adaptive”: flips between offense (stock/tech leaders, sometimes with 2x–3x funds) and defense (short‑term bonds, strong U.S. dollar, or inverse funds) using simple trend and “fear” checks. 3) 15% broad mix of stocks, Treasuries, and gold.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample performance shows stronger risk-adjusted resilience: ~17.8% annualized return with a 14.2% max drawdown and Calmar ~1.25, vs SPY’s ~22.5% return with ~18.8% drawdown and Calmar ~1.20. Core global stocks plus tactical risk controls drive steadier growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
