About

Goes 100% into a 3× tech fund only when semiconductors show stronger short‑term momentum than a defensive managed‑futures fund and that fund isn’t overheated; otherwise, it parks in T‑Bills.
NutHow it works
It watches a short-term “heat meter” (RSI, 0–100) on two funds: KMLM (a managed‑futures diversifier) and SMH (semiconductor stocks). If KMLM’s RSI is below 70 (not overheated) AND SMH’s RSI is higher than KMLM’s (stocks leading), it buys TECL (a 3× tech fund). Otherwise it holds BIL (T‑Bills).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~26.7% annualized return vs 18.5% for S&P. Levered tech exposure seeks bigger upside when momentum leads, but comes with larger drawdowns (~46% vs ~19%) and lower risk-adjusted Sharpe—suitable for higher risk tolerance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
