About
A daily strategy that is either all-in on leveraged semiconductor stocks (SOXL) or parked in short-term Treasurys (SHV), based on very short-term signals from bonds, risky stocks, chip stocks, and market fear.
This strategy checks the market every day and chooses between two holdings:
• SOXL: a very aggressive fund that magnifies moves in semiconductor stocks
• SHV: a very safe short-term Treasury fund
It uses a short-term “heat gauge” called RSI to judge whether bonds, volatile stocks, semiconductors, and market fear look strong, weak, overheated, or washed out. If chip stocks look attractive after a pullback—or panic looks extreme—it buys SOXL. Otherwise, it sits in SHV.
Out-of-sample results show a clear edge vs the S&P: ~110% annualized return, Sharpe ~1.30, Calmar ~1.57, driven by risk-on/off bets in semiconductors. Higher upside with disciplined risk controls (watch potential drawdowns).
