About
Keep 90% in T‑bills. Use 10% to either swing for upside or hedge: buy volatility when markets look overheated, buy 3× bull ETFs on sharp dips, or switch between 3× Nasdaq long (TQQQ), 3× short (SQQQ), or cash based on trend.
90% stays in BIL (T‑bills, cash‑like). The other 10% is tactical: if markets/sectors look “too hot” short‑term (RSI>~80; RSI gauges recent speed), buy VXX (volatility). If “too cold” (RSI<30), buy 3× bulls: SOXL (semis), TECL (tech via QQQ), or UPRO (S&P). Otherwise follow trend: in healthy uptrends hold TQQQ (3× Nasdaq); in weak trends use SQQQ (3× inverse) or partly cash; in sharp drops hold BIL.
Out-of-sample stats show superior risk-adjusted results: Sharpe ~1.96 vs SPY ~1.10, Calmar ~2.93, max drawdown ~4.8% vs ~18.8%. A 90% Treasuries core with 10% tactical exposure protects capital while offering upside vs the S&P 500.
