About

A tactical, rules-driven rotation that chases tech/semis and strong mega caps when conditions look healthy, and flips to safety trades (T‑Bills, USD, gold), volatility, or short ETFs when markets look overheated or weak. Uses leveraged ETFs; high risk.
NutHow it works
It’s a rule-based switcher. It checks if markets are “hot or cold” (RSI: a 0–100 momentum gauge; high=stretched up, low=washed out) and short vs long trends. If healthy: it leans into tech/semis and strong mega caps. If stretched or weak: it pivots to safety or contrarian plays: T‑Bills (BIL), US dollar (UUP/USDU), gold (UGL), volatility (VIXM), or short S&P/Nasdaq (SH/PSQ). Uses some 3x ETFs; high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.28 vs 0.86; DD 16.3% vs 18.8%; annualized return 56% vs 15%; Calmar 3.45. Higher risk-adjusted upside with disciplined rotation and safety hedges vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
