About

A daily, equal‑weight momentum strategy that uses semiconductor ETFs as a market thermometer. When trend is healthy and not overheated, it owns the strongest AI‑infrastructure and defense names; otherwise it rotates into defensive bond/sector ETFs.
NutHow it works
- First, it checks two chip ETFs (SMH, SOXX). If either is above its 200‑day average, it can go risk‑on; if both are below, it buys two defensive ETFs (from bonds, staples, utilities, health care). - If chips look overheated short‑term (RSI ≈80+; think of RSI as a 0–100 “speedometer”), it still moves to defense. - Otherwise, if momentum is positive, it owns 5 names: the 3 strongest AI‑infrastructure suppliers and the 2 strongest drone/defense names. Equal‑weight, rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Chip-led momentum with risk guards. Out-of-sample annualized return: 161.6% vs SPY ~25%; Calmar 6.53; Sharpe 1.79. Captures explosive AI/defense cycles with built-in risk controls and selective defense hedges, outperforming the S&P 500 on the upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
