About

A market-regime strategy that uses simple “hot/cold” signals to switch between leveraged stock funds for growth, a volatility fund for hedging, and safe havens (cash, Treasuries, gold) to limit big drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Step 1: Is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average? If yes → “Bull” mode. If no → “Bear” mode. In Bull mode: ~78% flips between a leveraged S&P fund (risk‑on) and a volatility fund (hedge) using short‑term “hot/cold” readings; ~22% sits in Consumer Staples. In Bear mode: ~78% prefers the volatility hedge, sometimes cash/gold/treasuries or a brief bounce trade; the other ~22% stays split across cash, long Treasuries, and gold.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this regime-switching strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted growth vs the S&P: Calmar ~7, Sharpe ~2.38, and ~73% annualized return vs ~45% for SPY, with hedges to capture upside while limiting drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
